James Kalosi is recognised as a talented carver, originally from Monkey Bay, Malawi, he was attracted by the industrious Cape Maclear market when he was 20 where he’s now married and raising his four children whilst training them in his craft. Working side-by-side with Bwanali Billy, a fellow artist, James successfully runs his own shop in the village and creates carvings using handmade tools from local materials.
