Spectra brought amazing artists to Aberdeen as part of their light festival including Stanza, with his artistic experiment “The Global Dérive: The Sum Is Greater Than The Parts”. Members of the collective got involved, as part of the binary graffiti club, wearing a black binary hooded top, denoting either 0 or 1. Then being tracked and monitored as units of data. This was then fed back to the servers creating a constantly changing real- time artwork visualising their movements throughout the city. “The idea and core concept was to inspire young people to see the city as canvas to create change and to see the environment as their city space and to make their “mark” on it.” Respect to Stanza, consider us inspired.
